Dream Into Action
Karissa was born in the Mile High City on a cold winter’s night. She spent her days growing up writing stories, riding horses, going on adventures in the mountains, and dreaming of all that the future had to offer. Though she wishes that her parents themselves had been ranchers and rodeo enthusiasts, her family did have something else that ran in their veins, and that was the creative arts.
Starring in her first play at age 7, Karissa would continue to participate in plays, productions, filmmaking, and acting classes from then on.
You know that thing that haunts the back of your mind everyday that you can never rid yourself of even if you wanted too? That thing you know that will rip you up piece by piece if you never try to achieve it, or if you were to give up on it? Yes, Karissa has it too, for acting, horses, writing, and filmmaking. No matter where life takes her, she fights every day for what she loves and tries her best to do it without hesitation. She hopes that as time goes on, she can inspire others to do the same.
The Colorado cowgirl has had the opportunity to live in many different states, but currently resides in Nashville, TN. The first stop on her list that includes three different states and another country, a journey that she will one day complete. Until then she is content in knowing that along with the bad, there is always good and that the only reason that someone won’t succeed, is because they gave up.
